Glossary of Nadsat Language Anthony Burgess was born in Manchester in 1917 and was a graduate of the University there. After six years in the Army he worked as an instructor for the Central Advisory Council for Forces Education, as a lecturer in Phonetics and as a grammar school master.

Alex thinks and talks in the "nadsat" (teenage) vocabulary of the future. A doctor in the book explains it. "Odd bits of old rhyming sland," he says. Nadsat Glossary. Mr. Burgess was not only an author but also a linguist as he created the Nadsat language for the sole purpose of this novel.

As Iago says, it is not the name of their talk, it is their name for themselves autonym or endonym. So, the primary source gives no name to the language, but the secondary sources give it the name Nadsat. OKAY.
